Stage: Design Package

Throughout the year there are a number of stand-alone retail spaces available within the Drake Circus Shopping Centre in Plymouth. These are very desirable and are taken on by businesses that wish to sell their products on a smaller scale to the main units occupying the mall. Our clients ‘China Arts’ are based in the existing Pannier Market in Plymouth and were looking to expand with a new unit in the Mall. Crayon were approached to design the stand and liaise with the contractors and ‘Space and People’ who manage the retail spaces.

There were strict guidelines when looking at the design; it could be a maximum of 2.5m x 2m x 1.8m high, with a bespoke design and using high quality materials. Due to the high average weekly footfall of 290,000, security during the day and night were of high consideration along with storage and overall display of the products. The design of the stand reflects the oriental style of the products for sale.
