Stage: Feasibility Study
Crayon was recommended by our client for the Baring Crescent project in Exeter, to a neighbouring property a few streets away, in the same conservation area of St Leonards. The property is Grade II Listed and was built before 1880. The property is a 3 storey semi-detached dwelling; it is one of ten properties of the same style with Georgian proportions, with back gardens accessed via a side passageway. Unlike the other houses on the street the ground floor of this one was originally a shop. Planning permission to convert this to residential accommodation was sought in 1988, showing the shop front to be removed.
Crayon was commissioned to undertake stages C-D of the Plan of Work. The brief consisted of a new kitchen extension, new disabled access shower room, associated internal alterations and an external terraced area. The proposed work will add an additional 28m2 to the property.
