Stage: Planning Permission & Building Regulations
Wesley Avenue lies within an area called Hyde Park, slightly north of Plymouth city centre, which is very popular with young families. The street is close to local amenities including cafés, home gift stores and antique shops. There is a primary school close by and a private boys school. The house is accessed via the main street and has pedestrian access to the rear. We met our clients a year ago whilst attending a business start-up course.
Looking at historical maps, this terraced property is of Victorian age; built in the early 1900’s. Historical maps suggest the rear tenement is – in planning terms – original to the house, as it was built before 1948.
Crayon was engaged for Plan of Work Stages C-H and a traditional procurement route was deemed appropriate for the scale of the project. The client had a contractor in mind, so a competitive tender process was not necessary.
