Stage: Feasibility Study
Plymouth Community Homes decided to create a small urban woodland at their housing estate near Wingfield Road. By planting the trees the residents would have a shaded place to sit and relax, whilst also acting as a sound and visual barrier to the railway tracks. PCH are committed to reducing these environmental impact as practicable possible, the hope here is to attract as much wildlife as possible. PCH’s Environmental Services Manager approached Crayon to undertake some visualisations to enable consultation with the residents.
The type of trees included in this scheme were to all be native British broad leaf trees, a mixture of silver birch, mountain ash, hawthorn, hazel, blackthorn and a few apple/ plum trees.
