Retirement home project nearing completion!

It is a fantastic feeling to see a project initially conceived in 2018 near completion! The care home setting is especially sensitive when it comes to building works, & of course a lengthy delay was caused by the pandemic. Obedair Construction has been incredibly helpful regarding logistics. The staff & residents have complimented them on their proactive & friendly approach. Crayon was approached by Pilgrims Friend to reconfigure an internal courtyard space into a relaxing social area for the residents. Planning & Listed Building consent secured

Crayon has secured Planning & Listed Building consent to change the use of this fantastic property back into a family dwelling. We have the expertise to know what the local authority requires to approve sensitive works to listed buildings. Dating back to the early 1800s, it’s incredible to think it would have been standing whilst Napoleon was in Plymouth Sound, & Austen’s Pride & Prejudice was first published. The restrained detailing is typical of Regency architecture, unlike later Victorian examples that have a more ornamental aesthetic.
